The 12th Vice Chancellor of the prestigious second generation University of Calabar, Professor Offiong Effanga has indicated that his administration will no longer allow for offer of admission to students into the institution more than the stipulated departmental requirements of the institution.
This assertion was made in Calabar during the unveiling plans for the 38th Convocation ceremony of the institution which also become the maiden convocation ceremony since the inception of his administration four months ago.
He also explained that he realized the important to fraternise with members of media as stakeholders of the institution with high responsibility to inform and educate the people.

also revealed that a total of 10,820 graduands are expected to be confered with PhD, Diploma, Bachelor and Certificate.
Program line out for the 38th convocation ceremony includes the traditional institutional fair from the different faculties will feature after the interdenominational service after the Easter holiday while the event will be rounded up with a Church service on next Sunday.
