The CGC Bashir Adewale Adeniyi’s Football Tournament which kicked off in May 1, 2026 is already uniting and bringing together officers and men of the Nigeria Customs Service with their counterparts from other sister agencies.
This is as the Oyo/Osun Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service has officially kick-started the tournament at the Polytechnic of Ibadan Football Field.
The tournament, which features participation from sister security agencies within Oyo State, is aimed at promoting inter-agency collaboration, unity, and physical fitness among personnel.

Oyo/Osun Area Command, it said that the opening match of the tournament was played between the Nigeria Customs Service Football Club and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Football Club. The keenly contested encounter ended in a goalless draw (0–0), setting a competitive tone for subsequent matches in the tournament.
The statement also noted that the CGC BA Adeniyi Football Tournament is scheduled to run from 1st May to 19th May 2026, during which various participating teams will compete for honors in the spirit of sportsmanship and camaraderie.
