The National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders, NAGAFF has congratulated the newly promoted customs officers.

The President, National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF), Tochukwu EZISI while congratulating them says newly-promoted Customs Controllers should uphold the tenets of their profession while discharging of their duties as Customs officers.
This was contained in his congratulatory message to the officers.

He called on the newly promoted Comptrollers as leaders to lead by example.
“As leaders in the customs management team, the Controllers must set an example for others to emulate. They must lead by example in terms of integrity, accountability and efficiency

“Customs Controllers play a vital role in the smooth running of the customs department and ensuring that trade facilitation is conducted in a fair and orderly manner.

“In order to effectively carry out their duties, they must possess a high level of professionalism and be able to make sound decisions that are in the best interest of the country.”

Ezisi equally emphasised on the need to stay up- to- date with the latest developments in global trade, mostly on the area of the new tariffs and regulations, and being able to adapt and respond accordingly.

NAGAFF president further urged the newly promoted Customs Controllers to work closely with other government agencies and stakeholders to ensure that trade facilitation is conducted smoothly and effectively.

The President while wishing the newly constituted Management team and the promoted Customs Controllers all the best in their new roles, assured them of NAGAFF’s support as they work towards upholding professionalism and facilitating trade in the country.

The newly promoted Controllers include the Customs National Public Relations Officer Timi Bomodi, Musa Omale, Zanna Chiroma, Stanley Nwankwo and Ajibola Odusanya.

Others are Paul Ekpenyong, Abubakar Umar, Maureen Ajuzieogu and M.O. Bewaji
