The contestant for Lagos State House of Assembly seat for Badagry State Constituency 2 in the March 18,2023, Hon. Efe Omoya has assured Lagosians and the people of Badagry State Constituency 2 that his being on the race is not for any other reason rather to profer solutions where there is problem.

The Labour Party contestant for Lagos State House of Assembly Badagry Constituency 2 equally pledged to lighten up Badagry if elected into as one of the lawmakers.

Hon. Efe Omoya made this statement during s Press conference organised by the Labour Party, (LP)’ Ward H Badagry, Lagos in Lagos on Sunday.

According to Him, I want to appreciate the confidence you all have in me in this party, and I want to also assure you that come March 18, 2023, we are all going to smile.
I didn’t come into this race because I see people going into it, I come into the race because of my empathy. I don’t like seeing people suffering and I don’t like ineffectiveness or seeing problems where there are solutions. That is what brought me into to this race. I have gone across the communities in this Badagry, and I have seen, I have interact, I have engaged people. I have engaged the people in the communities, I have interacted with the people in the street, I have interacted with the people on the roads, I have known where the shoe pitches them. I know where the people are feeling the pains. The light problems, the road problems, the economic problems, the hardship, the intimidations and all sorts of vices that they are pass through in this Badagry.

Hon. Efe said he is the candidate with the capacity, the confidence to deliver Badagry Constituency 2 from the decades of suffering.
He said: “And I have seen myself as having the capacity, as having the confidence, in fact, having the intellectual capacity to bring solution to all of these problems”.

He further added:
“I have the confidence and I am running for this Lagos State House of Assembly, Badagry Constituency 2.

He assured the labour party members that what he is saying or promising is what he is sure of and what is in him already not what is he is written somewhere, assuring them of his political sagacity and sincerity to deliver.

“What I have told you about my several engagements is not what has been written down somewhere, no, it is what is in me. It is in me and I want to deliver it to my people. I want to lighten up Badagry. We want to connect the inner roads, we want to improve on the vocational education for our youths. And not just vocational education, because a person that is hungry cannot learn. And for that reason, we also want to be paying them while they are learning.

“I am sure that Lagos State has the capacity to do this. And I am going to use my good office to make sure that comes to pass in Badagry”.

Still on youth empowerment, Hon. Efe said he equally has a lot of plans for youths in Badagry Constituency 2.
“In the area of youth empowerment, we have plan for youth empowerment, youth engagement, mostly in the area of sports. So, I would want to see the different wards in Badagry once in a year or twice in a year engage in a competition whereby we will be able to showcase their talents. We can even invite experts from abroad, from UK, European Premier League. We can invite foreign coaches to come and watch our guys at the finals and select talents among them. And we also provide sponsorships to take them abroad to become professional footballers, they come back here and invest in the communities. And we will continue to do that. These are some of the programmes that I have on ground for our people in Badagry Constituency 2, Lagos. I pray that God give us the grace so that we will be able to achieve this,” he promised.

Hon. Efe Omoya, while reminiscing of the good works of the party members in the last eleven months, reiterated the need to carry the party members along if voted into power:
“And also for everyone of us who has laboured tirlessly for this party (LP) for the past ten eleven months, this party will also not forget you. You will be part of the government. We are going to have an all inclusive government. God bless Labour Party Badagry, God bless Labour Party Lagos State, God bless Labour Party Nigeran,” he prayed.

Speaking earlier at the press conference, the Chairman Labour Party, Ward H, Badagry, Mr. Shako noted that Labour party in Badagry does not know or recognise other contestantsnn outside Hon. Efe Omoya and Hon. Seyemi Jadesimi for Badagry Constituency 1.

“Good day the people of Nigera, good day the people of Lagos State, good day the people of Badagry, and the gentlemen of the press.
We are the people of Badagry Local Government of Lagos State. Today, the Stakeholders and labour party members across Badagry have decided to gather and make a categorical statement concerning imposition of certain candidates on us. Trying to impose candidates we, the people of Badagry do not know is not acceptable. Since April last year, we have been working with Hon. Sewenu Jayesimi for Badagry Constituency 1 and Hon. Efe Omoya for Badagry Constituency 2. Six days to the governorship and House of Assembly elections that were later postponed, sudden list of ghost contestants surfaced from the Labour Party Secretariat, Yaba, that they are the ones representing Badagry Constituencies 1 and 2. For that reason, I want to make it categorically clear as the chairman of Labour Party Badagry and as one of the leaders in Labour Party Badagry, that we want to make it categorically make it clear that we do not know Hon. Achafa Okoya contesting for Lagos State Badagry Constituency 1. They have never for once attended any of our meetings, they have never for once associated with labour party in Badagry, we don’t know where they live, we do not have their contacts. They are not even a member of labour party Badagry. No Ward chairman here can say Hon Okoya Achafa or Hon. Ajani Olaruwaju claiming to be constesting for Constituency 1 and 2 belong to their wards or their zone. We don’t know them. They should not impose them on us,” the chairman warned.
