A Nigerian female lecturer, ZAHRAH IBRAHIM in far away Scotland is making the African continent and her fatherland (Nigeria) proud as she recently won a prestigious Engineering Innovation Award.

Zahrah Ibrahim, a Nigerian lecturer and PhD student of engineering at University of Aberdeen in Scotland, won the prestigious European “Drilling Engineering Innovation Award”.

In her presentation on “A Novel Approach for Wellbore Strengthening,” she was judged to have secured her the top spot among other nominees.

According to our source, She is a role model for excellence and innovation in engineering.

Her country, Nigeria is said to be proud of her and also celebrate this rare gen. “Let’s celebrate this engineering gem, her success, her courage”.

This feat, the source said, could go a long way to encourage and motivate other upcoming young Nigerian girls who may want to emulate her in lifetime.
