The State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Cross River State, Barrister Alphonsus Eba has made a passionate appeal to the Army Chief of Staff, Lt. Gen. Farouk Yahaya to prevent the military who are serving and the retire from crossing into Cross River North Senatorial District territory on or before elections on 11th, March,2023.

This information was given to Media practitioners in Calabar during a briefing to show the state of ready-ness ahead of the March 11 the, 2023.

The party also use the opportunity to declare that since the APC lost one of their candidate due to the Supreme Court disqualification of Mrs. Regina Anyogo in a recent judgement which does not give the party an opportunity to replace her before the election on 11th March, 2023 polls.

For this reason, the party have decided to adopt the Labour Party candidate in Yala 1, state Constituency and ask their supporters to vote for him while also requesting the Labour Party supporters to vote massively for the APC gubernatorial candidate, Senator, Prince Bassey Otu for the elections since they do not have a Governorship candidate.

On the area of security during the March 11th,2023 elections in the Northern Senatorial District, the party boss recalled that they will ensure that the ugly situation where the military men invaded the Senatorial District and prevented supporters of the party from voting a candidate of their choice will not be allowed to repeat as this was the reason Governor Ben Ayade lost the Senatorial election.
