The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) is proud to celebrate the strength, dedication, and contributions of women in the maritime sector. From firefighting to piloting, and from engineering to administration, NPA women are breaking barriers and excelling in roles that go beyond traditional expectations.

These remarkable women are not just making waves in their respective fields, but also paving the way for future generations of women in the industry. Their achievements are a testament to the NPA’s commitment to creating a more inclusive and diverse work environment.

NPA’s Managing Director, Dr. Abubakar Dantsoho, highlights the organization’s commitment to gender equality: “Women hold 60% of key roles in my team, with men making up 40%. This intentional step underscores NPA’s commitment to advancing women’s participation and success in the maritime industry.”

The NPA’s efforts to promote gender equality are yielding positive results, with more women taking on leadership roles and contributing to the growth and development of the maritime sector. The organization is committed to continuing this trend and creating more opportunities for women to shine.

Kudos to the amazing women of NPA and the maritime sector for driving progress, shattering glass ceilings, and shaping a more equitable future.
