He added that \u201cthis critical support from MWUN has buoyed us to intensify our relentless drive towards continuous improvement in the welfare of our esteemed workers in ways not limited to monthly salary alone\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Recall that the NPA Managing Director had in November 2022 been accompanied by the President General MWUN, Comrade Adewale Adeyanju to pay an advocacy visit to headquarters of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) to solicit the NLC\u2019s solidarity towards increase in NPA workers\u2019 salaries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Still speaking on the issue, the MD, Mohammed Bello Koko stated that \u201cwe are further delighted by the fact that our own Comrade Adewale Adeyanju is now the Deputy President of the NLC, this gives us the necessary solidarity and backing to push for more benefits for our highly valued human resources\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Ambrose Obioma Okehi (News Emperor) The Management of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) has commended the Maritime Workers\u2019 Union of Nigeria (MWUN) for supporting the securing of approval for increase in the salary for its workers.
