The Nigeria Customs Service, NCS, Kirikiri Lighter Terminal, KLT has commissioned a new staff clinic for for the medication and healthy welbeing of the officers and man of the command.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
While commissioning the clinic newly constructed by the command, the Zonal Coordinator, Nigeria Customs Service
Assistant Comptroller-General, ACG A. M. Aremu said would help to improve the health and well-being of the officers and men of the command as well as other sister commands and stakeholders within Kirikiri Lighter Terminal Command, Kirikiri, Apapa Lagos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Customs Area Controller, CAC of the command, Controller H.J. Swomen, KLT Command said the clinic is unique amongst the maritime Commands in Lagos as KLT is the only off-dock Command. This, he said, implies that the Command is dependent on its sister commands – Apapa, Tin Can Island Port (TCIP) and Port and Terminal Multi-services Limited, PTML for transfers of contianers. May I use this opportunity to appreciate the Area Controllers of Apapa, TCIP, PTML and Western Marine Command.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Comptroller HJ Swomen told those present at the commissioning that the vision to have a befiting staff clinic could not have been realized without the support and contributions of our critical stakeholders. He also thanked the stakeholders, saying, “To all of you, I say a big thank you,” the CAC said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The CAC commended all who played one role or the other in ensuring that the project is realized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“I would like to appreciate the Traffic Manager, Nigeria Ports Authority, our landlord, and other Government and Security Agencies for their cooperation and harmonious working relationship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“I say a big thank you also to members of the press present for their support in publicising activities of the command”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He added further that the vision for setting up a staff clinic at the command is CGC’s innovative drive.
“The vision for the setting up the clinic is in line with the CGC’s innovative drive for the assurance of the Medical Welfare of the officers and men of the service. The Command observed the need for a clinic in this area to serve not only officers and men of the command but also other stakeholders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“The Clinic would also serve to host Medical Teams visiting from Headquarters and the Zonal office”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Command however assured that the clinic should also boost the morale and welfare o officers and men to deliver on their mandate of revenue collection, Anti-smuggling and trade facilitation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The CAC prayed that very soon Medical Personnel would be posted to effectively man the clinic. In the interim we would crave the kind indulgence from the Zonal Headquarters to have Medical Personnel visit regularly from the Zonal Headquarters to assist the command.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
