<\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\nThe Director General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, (NIMASA), Dr Bashir Jamoh (OFR) has been honoured as the Baatona of Akure Kingdom by the Deji of Akure kingdom, Oba Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi, Odundun 11.
Akure is the capital of Ondo State.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The hinour was bestowed on the Jamoh in the present of the Honourable Minister of State Transportation, Prince Ademola Adegoroye who witnessed the installation ceremony.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He Honourable Minister of State for Transportation described Dr Jamoh as a detribalized Nigerian who is genuinely committed to the development of the nation through the maritime sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He therefore appreciated the Deji of Akure for identifying and recognising Dr Jamoh due to his numerous impacts and achievements in the maritime sector, adding further that it is an expansion of Akure Kingdom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDr. Jamoh is a genuinely nice man deserving of the honour Akure Kingdom has conferred on him. I am sure he will expand the frontiers of the Akure Kingdom to Zaria and beyond\u201d, he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Royal Fathe, the Deji of Akure Oba Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi Odundun II, on his own pointed out that Dr Jamoh has contributed directly and indirectly to the development of Akure Kingdom, hence the title Baatona,\u200b which means \u201cPathfinder\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Deji of Akure equally added:
\u201cWe have followed with keen interest the activities of Dr Jamoh and we have no doubt that he will greatly assist in the development of Akure Kingdom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In his acceptance speech, the newly installed Baatona of Akure Kingdom, Dr Jamoh, extolled the values of the people of Akure describing them as very hospitable adding that he is proud to be associated with the King of the revered Kingdom and the entire Akure people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI sincerely wish to appreciate this gesture extended to me as the Baatona of this Kingdom; I pledge my commitment to the good people of Akure and wish to state that regardless of tribe or religion, I will do all within my capacity to add value to the Kingdom\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu, Deputy Governor, Ondo State, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa and other eminent Nigerians joined in the reception in honour of the NIMASA DG hosted by the Honourable Minister of State Transportation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
