But they\u2019re also vulnerable,  to cyberattacks, operational disruptions, safety breaches, and financial losses.  <\/p>\n<p>He therefore added:<br \/>\n\u201cThis workshop equips senior professionals with practical tools and global best practices to identify, assess, and respond to operational, security, environmental, and financial risks,\u201d the Rector of the Academy said.  <\/p>\n<p>The goal, according to him include; strengthen emergency preparedness, improve crisis response, and safeguard supply chains that millions of Nigerians depend on.  <\/p>\n<p>On what participants would gain for participating, he said :<br \/>\n&#8220;The workshop goes beyond theory. It\u2019s designed to deliver actionable skills for real-world port challenges.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Other key modules include of the workshop include<br \/>\n1. Risk Management Fundamentals: Understanding the core framework for port operations<br \/>\n2. Risk Identification &#038; Mitigation: How to spot threats before they become crises<br \/>\n3. Crisis Management Planning Building response frameworks that actually work<br \/>\n4. Business Continuity Planning: Keeping ports running when disaster strikes;<br \/>\n5. Emergency Preparedness* \u2014 Disaster recovery systems for port activities<br \/>\n6. Port Security &#038; ISPS Compliance: Meeting international security standards<br \/>\n7. Operational Risk in Cargo &#038; Vessel Handling:<br \/>\n8. HSE Risk Control: Health, safety, and environmental protection measures<br \/>\n9. Cyber security: Protecting digital port systems from rising cyber threats  <\/p>\n<p>The told News Emperor that those to participate include people who needs to be in the room offices, the top executives of Maritime organisations.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the academy, according to the organisers, is targeting decision-makers who hold the keys to port safety and efficiency: Port Managers, Terminal Operators, Senior Logistics Executives, Safety\/Security\/Risk Officers, Marine Harbour Masters, Compliance Officers, Emergency Response Teams, and Supply Chain Managers.  <\/p>\n<p>The academy added that the participants will leave with more than certificates.<\/p>\n<p>Informing they they will also be empowered in terms of knowledge they would gain at the workshop.<br \/>\n&#8220;They\u2019ll gain: Stronger capacity to manage operational and strategic risks;<br \/>\nImproved crisis response, and emergency handling abilities  as well as reduced financial losses from operational disruptions.<\/p>\n<p>Better compliance with international safety and security standards<br \/>\nWhile gaining access to expert insights and networking with industry stakeholders  <\/p>\n<p>Giving more Details about the event, the organisers said, the<br \/>\ntime for event will be 9:00am to 4:00pm daily while the Venue remains Rockview Hotel, Parklane, Apapa, Lagos  and that each participant is expected to register with the sum of \u20a6150,000 per participant.<\/p>\n<p>Registration is open through the Academy\u2019s office at 24 Burma Road, Apapa, Lagos.
