OYO\/OSUN CUSTOMS VISITS INTERNATIONAL BREWERIES,
\nPROMISES TO STRENGTHEN EXISTING COLLABORATION <\/p>\n
In an effort to strengthen the already existing collaboration between the Nigeria Customs Service and excise factories and key stakeholders, the Acting Customs Area Controller, Oyo\/Osun Area Command, Deputy Comptroller of Customs Wale Moses Adewole, on Tuesday 14 April 2026, paid a courtesy visit to the International Breweries Plc plant in Ilesa, Osun State.<\/p>\n
In a press statement issued by the command and signed by Assistant Superintendent of Customs ASC I, Abdulmalik Akintola, the
\nCommand’s Public Relations Officer on April 14 Apr 26 on behalf of the CAC, it states that during the visit, DC Wale Adewole emphasized the importance of compliance with extant excise laws and regulations, noting that adherence is critical to revenue generation and the national economic stability. He reiterated the Command\u2019s commitment to facilitating legitimate trade while ensuring strict enforcement of government fiscal policies.<\/p>\n
The Area Controller commended International Breweries Plc for its contributions to the economy, particularly in the areas of employment generation and enhancing the revenue generation profile of the Command. He further encouraged the management to sustain its level of compliance and maintain transparency in its operations.<\/p>\n
While responding, the manager of International Breweries Plc, Mr Emmanuel Onabanjo expressed appreciation for the visit, describing it as timely and impactful. He reaffirmed the factory\u2019s commitment to maintaining a cordial working relationship with the Nigeria Customs Service and pledged continued compliance with all regulatory requirements.<\/p>\n
According to the statement, the visit also provided an opportunity for both parties to engage in constructive dialogue, address operational challenges, and explore avenues for enhanced cooperation.<\/p>\n
