ORGANIZES  TWO-DAY WORKSHOP ON EXPORT"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>By Ambrose Obioma Okehi (News Emperor)<\/p>\n<p>The management of Ports and Terminal Management Academy of Nigeria, (POTMAN) has  concluded arrangements for a two-day intensive capacity building workshop.<\/p>\n<p>The workshop, themed &#8220;Export Documentation, Procedures and Compliance Workshop&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>According to the organisers, export trade is a critical driver of economic growth, foreign exchange earnings and global competitiveness.<\/p>\n<p>Prof. Samuel Babatunde also noted &#8220;that success in export trade depends largely on accurate documentation, strict procedural compliance and adherence to  local and international trade regulations&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>He however added that &#8220;the two-day intensive training is designed to equip participants with practical, up-to-date knowledge of export documentations&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>The workshop is scheduled to hold on March 17 to 18, 2026 by 9 am to 4pm daily.<\/p>\n<p>The Rector of the Academy, Prof Babatunde outlined the objectives of the workshop, noting that at the end of the highly intensive worship, the participants will understand end-to-end export process, from order to shipment; prepare and process standard and  regulatory export documents correctly: that one of the objectives is to ensure that exporters comply with Nigerian export regulations and international trade regulations; that the workshop will help the participants to identify and avoid common export documentation and compliance errors; and equally help the Nigerian exporters to apply best practices in export procedures for operational efficiency.<\/p>\n<p>The key highlights of the event, according Babatunde, is the overview of export trade and global market access; step-by-step; mandatory export regulations explained;roles of regulatory agencies in export operations; export compliance, risk management and penalties as well as others issues.<\/p>\n<p>The management of the academy also said that there will be a practical case studies and real-life scenarios, interactive questions and answers and knowledge sharing sessions.<\/p>\n<p>Regarding participation, professor Babatunde said the workshop is open to exporters, aspiring exporters, freight forwarders, logistics practitioners, supply chain and trade officers.<br \/>\nOthers are SME owners and business development managers as well as Customs officers, shipping and trade compliance officers. Students and professionals in international trade and logistics.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking about the benefits, prof.
