<\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\nThe newly promoted Assistant Comptroller General of Customs, and formerly the CAC of Apapa premier Command, ACG Yusuf Malanta has formerly handed over mantle of leadership to the incoming CAC, Comptroller Muhammad B. Awal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Malanta also said his Command from the time he was redeployed to the Command as CAC in 2021, his Command doubled in it’s revenue generation drive and started generating over N520 billion and later to N780 billion. That is from N520 billion to N780 billion in 2021 the command moved to generated one trillion in 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The ACG Malanta equally apealled to the new controller and the officers to improve in the Command’s revenue performance drive.
He told them to close every revenue leakage source while ensuring that the tempo in seizures are maintained.
They were also told that the do their work without fear or favour, that they should do everything too to defend their work.
That he would not want a situation where officers would be summoned to Abuja for one query or the other because one must defend work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The outgoing CAC while handing over urged to the new CAC apealled to officers to cooperate with the new CAC and accord him all the necessary cooperation in the course of discharging his work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The new CAC on his own promised to consolidate on the achievements of ACG Malanta and the tempo and legacies laid down by Malanta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
While responding, the new CAC accepted to assume duties and fully be in charge at Apapa Premier Command.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“You are a game changer. Everything that you did for us we appreciate,” one of the DCs acknowledged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The public Relations Officer of the command Chief Superintendent of Customs, CSC, Abubakar Sulman while expressing deep feeling for his outgoing boss, noted that Comptroller Malanta is an experienced officer, also an IT guru.
